Enough Relief Pitching?

This summer, Towers lamented the Padres' failure 3 offseasons ago to amass Jayson Werth, an outfielder whose free agency created no panting from media and fighter. Both the Padres and the Phillies pursued Werth. Great judgement there. The Phillies were the more aggressive suitor, and as it stumbled out, the $850,000 salary they guaranteed him was a platinum value. Organization won't pursue Peavy trade, but will listen to offers
